Owner & Chief Engineer, Dana J. White -
Dana has been mastering album releases for CD since 1995. He has worked on award winning projects for some of the great indie talents as well as recording legends. He also has extensive experience with recording/mixing, broadcast audio, CD manufacturing, mastering for cassette, and CD-ROM.
Dana has studied music performance and sound recording technology at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (BMus). He is conversant with many aspects of composition, arranging, performance, and recording production in all major genres.
Dana has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 1993.
In 2001 Dana founded Specialized Mastering after working for 9WEST Mastering where he served full time as principal mastering engineer. He is currently working in Portland and returns for projects in Boston.
Mastering Engineer, Mike Burke -
Michael Burke is an audio engineer and guitarist based in Boston, MA. He studied music production and engineering at the Berklee College of Music. Burke began his career in music as the lead guitarist in a band that toured the United States and Korea. After the tour Burke worked as a staff engineer at Atomic K in Minneapolis, then relocated to Connecticut where he served as a staff engineer and mastering engineer for the venerable Trod Nossel in Wallingford. Burke relocated to Boston where he is currently working as a freelance recording engineer as well a mastering engineer at Specialized Mastering in Framingham, MA.
